Mr. Charles Casuccio, Sr. age 91 of 1520 Fox Avenue, Ellwood City passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital on Friday at 4:45 am.
Charles was born on October 15, 1916 in McKeesport to the late Anthony and Christina Thomas Casuccio. He married Catherine Hilda Casuccio on August 22, 1939, who preceded him in death on November 24, 1998 He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army Medical Corps serving from February 18, 1944 to December 8, 1945, during WWII. Charles was also an avid hunter & fisherman. Mr. Casuccio had been employed by the U.S. Steel Corp. working in the Millwright & Foundry Department until retiring in 1975.
Mr. Casuccio is survived by two daughters, Sheri & Richard Heasley of Ellwood City and Gail & Bruce Ryan of Arvon, California. Two sons, Charles Casuccio Jr. of North Sewickley Twp. and Robert "Tim" & Peggy Casuccio of Ellwood City. Two Sisters Christine & Michael Tomeo and Sara Costa all of Ellwood City. Sister Inlaw Margaret Casuccio of Ellwood City. Twenty seven Grandchildren, Fifty six great-Grandchildren and Eight Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents. Two brothers, Anthony "Tim" and John Casuccio. One sister Rose "Rae" Palladino. One son John Casuccio and Daughter Cathy Casuccio
Visitation for Charles Casuccio, Sr. will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home Inc.
Services will held on Monday at 11:00 am the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home Inc. and conducted by Pastor Marvin Mayle. Internment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:45 am to conduct full military rites.
