John H. Williams , 52

Mr. John H. Williams, age 52, of 1942 Squaw Run Rd. Slippery RocK Twp., Ellwood City passed away at his residence on saturday at 8:40 am .

John was born on Nov. 4, 1955 in Pittsburgh to the late Kenneth and Betty Menke Williams. Mr. Williams graduated from the Crafton High School in 1973. He was a corporal with the US Army serving from October 30, 1974 to October 21, 1977, mainly serving in Germany as a bridgeman with the rank of E-4. John was also a very avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Mr. Williams was presbytarian by faith and had been employed by the Local 1058 laborers union out of Pittsburgh for the past 30 years as a heavy construction laborer, where he had mainly worked on bridges. John had been involved with the construction of many Ellwood City Area
bridges. He worked for the Conn Construction co., Trumbell Construction, and Swank Construction through his union.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Mikie Prokop Williams , whom he married on October 19,1985, one daughter Jessica L. Williams of Slippery Rock Twp., one son and daughter in law Crpl. John Wayne, Marlene Williams of Richmond, NC, John Wayne is presently serving with the US Marines in Iraq., John has one grandchild soon to be born, and one sister Lois Witherow of West Virginia.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in law Joseph Witherow.

Visitation for John H. Williams will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 6 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc.

A blessing service will be held on Tuesday at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. . Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the funeral home on tuesday by 5:45 pm to conduct full military rites.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
