Mary L. Bianco , 88

Ms. Mary L. Bianco,88, of Avalon Nursing Center, New Castle, formerly of Division Ave. Ellwood City, passed away at the Avalon Nursing Center on Friday July 16, 2010 at 9:35 pm.

Mary was born on November 29, 1921 to the late Felix Bianco and Mary Grace Macchia Bianco. She was a graduate of Lincon High School and an active member of the Holy Redeemer Church serving as a Pastoral Visitor and with the Christian Mothers. Mary retired from the Blaw-Knox Co. in Ellwood City where she had worked as a clerk in the engineering office. She enjoyed shopping and had a passion for cooking for her family. She especially enjoyed the camaraderie of her friends and neighbors.

Survivors include two nieces; Mary Lou McCurly and Patricia Bianco-Telfer, three nephews; Robert C. Bianco, John F. Bianco and Louis Ramponi, three great-nieces; Maggie, Libbi and Lacey Gilson, two great-nephews; Scott and Jeff McCurly and two great-great nephews. Also surviving are the many friends at the Avalon Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by one sister; Margaret Ramponi and two brothers; John and Henry Bianco.

Visitation will be on Monday July 19, from 6-8pm. at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home Inc. 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday July 20 at the Holy Redeemer Church. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those going to the church are asked to be at the funeral home by 9:20 as the procession to the church will leave at 9:30. Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church by 9:50am to form an honor guard.
