Charlotte Mae Mohr , 82
Mrs. Charlotte Mohr, 82, of 355 Pittsburgh Circle, Ellwood City, passed away at the Ellwood City Hospital on Thursday July 8, 2010 at 9:15 am.
Mrs. Mohr was born on September 21, 1927 in Shenango Twp. to the late Walter "Scott" Houk and Clara "Dolly" Shearer Houk. Charlotte had attended Shenango High School and was very active with the Free Methodist Church where she had once been the Sunday school secretary. She had worked as a cleaing lady for the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. as well as having worked for Crown City Drug in Ellwood City and the Ellwood City News Stand. She enjoyed crocheting, doing jig saw puzzles and organizing the Houk Family reunions, which she did for many years. Also, Charlotte was the secretary/treasurer for the Auxillary to Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
Survivors include her daughter, Tracey Coblentz of North Sewickly Twp., and two sons and their wives, David & Kathy Mohr of Beaver Falls, and Rev. Donald L. & Mary Mohr of North Tonawanda, NY., one brother and his wife, Daniel R. & Sandy Houk of Ellwood City, one sister, Thelma "Jeanne" Richards of Shenango Twp., seven grandchildren, Melissa Wright, Christina Mohr, Aaron Mohr, Johnathan Mohr, Nathaniel Coblentz, Cienna Coblentz, and Marybeth Grant and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald "Sharpie" Mohr whom she had married on November 5, 1955 and had passed away on November 7, 2003, and four brothers, Teddy L. Houk, Walter R. "Bud" Houk, William Houk, and John "Jack" Houk.
Visitation will be held on Saturday July 10, 2010 from 6-8 pm and on Sunday July 11, 2010 from 4-5 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc..
Services for Mrs. Mohr will be held on Sunday at 5:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home,Inc.. Internment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Free Methodist Church.
