Phyllis F. Britton , 79
Mrs. Phyliis F. Britton, 79, of 216 Mahoney Ave., Ellport passed away on Sunday July 4, 2010 at 4:30 am at the Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh unexpectedly.
Mrs. Britton was born on February 8, 1931 in Rochester, Pa to the late General Holman, and Effie Mae McMurry Holman. She graduated from the Rochester High School in 1947 and was Lutheran by faith. Phyllis had worked at the Phoenix Glass Co. in Monaca during the 1950's and 1960's. She then was employed by the Sprayer Coin & Bag Co. in New Brighton for 3 years. Phyllis was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #261 in Beaver Falls, the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post #252 in Ellwood City, and enjoyed playing bingo, and cards, along with crocheting , and sewing.
Survivors include her special friend John R. Toth of Ellport, six daughters; Sue Ellyn & Randolph Hollibaugh of Freedom, Cheryl "Sherry" & Kenneth Shirley of Ellwood City, Kathy Fisher of Ellwood City, Barbara Friello of Ellwood City, Cynthia "Cindy" & Dave Gatto of New Castle, Angel Lynn Britton of Florida, two sons; Edward S. Britton and his companion Patricia Werling of Ellwood City, Brian & Joann Britton of North Sewickley Twp., 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mrs Britton was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward E. Britton whom she married on April 7, 1951 and passed away in 1982,four sisters; Olive McLaughlin, Helen Owens, Elizabeth Bullock, Jacquelyn Hays, and two brothers; Thomas & Dwayne Holman.
Visitation will be on Tuesday July 6, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Wedneday from 10- 11 am at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc..
Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Internment will follow at the Sylvanian Hills Cemetery in Rochester.

John,Sue,Sherry,Kathy,Barbara,Cindy,Angel,Ed,Brian.You all have our Condolences.Aunt Phyllis is now in heaven.With Her Mother,Father,Sister's and Brothers.My Heart is Heavy now with the Passing of Aunt Phyllis.She leaves me with a lot of Memories,she will be missed by all who know her.
