Robert E. Aaron , 87

Robert E. Aaron Mr. Robert E. Aaron, 87, of 424 Country Club Dr., North Sewickley Twp. passed away at his residence on Tuesday June 29, 2010 at 6:10 am surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Aaron was born on May 25, 1923 in Limestone, Pa to the late Thomas Aaron and Catherine Conner Aaron. He was a member of the Clarion Limestone High School class of 1941. Following high school Robert joined the U.S. Army on August 11, 1944 and served until June 19, 1946 as a Technician Fifth Grade in the 272nd Infantry Regiment 69th Infantry Division. During his enlistment with the army Robert fought in the battles of Central Europe and the Rhineland. Mr. Aaron then had worked at the Glass Plant in Clarion, the J&L Steel plant in Aliquippa, and then at the Aetna Standard in Ellwood City as an inspector from 1950 until his retirement in 1983.
Robert also was a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish in Ellwood City. He enjoyed woodworking, walking, traveling,the outdoors, taking pictures, and bowling.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Carberry Aaron whoim he married on December 4, 1948, two daughters and son in laws; Vickie & William Koach of Franklin Twp., Betsy & Bob Petti of North Sewickley Twp., and five grandchildren; William C., Brian, & Josh Koach, Michael & Joseph Petti.

Mr. Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters; Julia Songer, Kate Miller, Josephine Carlos, Nelle Wilson, Theresa Clark, & Ann Shaffer, and four brothers; Steven, James, Lester, & Joseph Aaron.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 1, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc..

A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday July 2, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Internment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday by 9:20 am as the procession to church will begin to leaveat 9:30 am.
Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the Cemetery on Friday by 10:50 am to conduct full military rites.
