David Malachina , 60

Mr. David Malachina, 60, of 437 Loop St., Ellwood City passed away on Monday March 8, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Butler at 11:40 am.

David was born on October 22, 1949 in Cleveland Ohio to the late John David Malachina and Elizabeth McCue Malachina. He graduated high school in Cleveland and had attended the Community College of Allegheny County. David served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, from December 4, 1970 to September 10, 1975. He had worked at the Beaver Valley Medical Center in the housekeeping department. Also, David was Catholic by faith, enjoyed fishing and going to the beach.

Dave is survived by one daughter; Shelly Malachina , one son Mark Malachina both of Ellwood City, two grandchildren; Jacob Altmeyer & Jayde Cornelius of Ellwood City, and a sister in law ; Michelle Malachina of Ambridge.

Mr. Malachina was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Tom Malachina in 2009, and a nephew Ryan Malachina in 2009.

Family and Friends will be received on Friday March 12,2010 from 4-5 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home. Inc..

Services for David Malachina will be held on Friday at 5:00 pm with Rev. Richard Liptak officiating. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday by 4:45 pm to conduct full military rites.
