Dad, I'll always remember to be strong and that it's only a planet. And mostly just you, getting me through the day now, your hand on my shoulder, your words of love and encouragement in my ear. I love you very much. The mountain awaits. Go for it. Deany.

Even though we have not seen each other for several years Ron Morini was one of my closest friends. He was "sensei", I "Grasshopper". (as Ron referred to me)he was a master at Karate, building homes, and a great philosopher. He could and often did recite word for word to me "Desiderata". Two of his favorite sayings were "You must be your own first victory" and "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the body can surely achieve". and he was living proof that was true. In the 70's we were in-separable and spent much time at Moraine State Park that Ron referred to as the "Italian Riviera". He believed that we were once Roman Centurions and as depicted in this photo taken in 1997 outside his home on Taylor Street. When we would meet we would always do the Roman hand in arm shake. He was fearless and indestructible and a great teacher and friend to many. My deepest sympathy to his wife Susan and all the Morini family from Michael and Pattsie Rand. May God bless.
