Marino "Mitch" Minnocci , 86

Mr. Marino "Mitch" Minnocci, age 86, of 1673 Frazier Park Dr., Decatur, GA passed away on Monday at 4:00 am at the Dekalb Medical Center in Georgia.

Mr. Minnocci was born on January 16, 1922 in Ellwood City to the late Enrico Minnocci and Bridget Bragalone Minnocci. He is a former resident of both Ellwood City and Miami, Florida. Marino attended Lincoln High School , afterwhich he joined the U.S. Navy during World War II serving as a gunners mate 2nd class from August 27, 1942 until December 17, 1946 in the Atlantic and Asiatic-Pacific Theatres. He had been employed by Townsend Industries in Ellwood City for 20 years as a packer in the shipping department, and was a delivery man for Gen Sales in Ellwood City. Catholic by faith Mr. Minnocci was a member of the Holy Redeemer Church while living in Ellwood City.

Survivors include one daughter and son in law , Sandra, & Mervin Kravet of Decatur, GA, a grandson and his spouse , Christopher & Nancy Bowers, three great grandaughters, Brooke, Nicole, & Bridget Bowers, one sister and brother in law, Ethel, & Aldo Galmarini of West Pittsburgh, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Geniviva Minnocci whom he married on August 13, 1944 and passed away on October 28, 1998, two brothers, John E. Minnocci, & James P. Minnocci, and thre sisters Mary Mantz, Pauline Perry, & Martha Clark.

Visitation for Mr.Minnocci will be held on Thursday from 6 - 9 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc..

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on friday at 10:00 am at the Holy redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Internment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday by 9:20am as the procession to church will begin to leave at 9:30 am. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the cemetery on Friday by 10:45 am to conduct full military rites.
